Digital Age

Welcome to the digital age.  Computer, laptops, mobile phones are the most common things in a person's life.  Mobile phones have brought in a tremendous change in the ways and pattern of communication.  The transactions that used to take place in banks, which were earlier very much time consuming, are now much less time consuming. Thanks to the data been stored in computers and the speed with which the entire data gets processed was a thing to imagine in the past, but now a reality.

Cash withdrawal is not a problem at all anymore because more and more people are using ATM machine.  One of the interesting features of the ATM machine is that whether a person is educated or not it does not matter.  This is because if you are at an ATM which is working and the debit card that you are having has a matching pin number, then the use of ATM is very easy.  It can be used to look for balance amount and cash transactions.  But things are now far more beyond these routine things in the life of a common man.

Credit cards were always in use but in the last few years the use of credit card customers is on the rise.  More and more number of customers are using the credit cards for different purposes like shopping, buying expensive gift items and so on.  There is one more category of people, who are using credit cards with respect to the benefit that they will get in the future by doing such credit card transactions.  This category of people makes use of the credit card for online transactions like paying subscription fees, joining a website for which a minimum fees needs to be paid and so on.

Using credit card is very much of a common thing, but then there are people who make use of credit card only to maintain their old bad habits.  Like for instance a credit card is used to pay the party bills and of course the bill is going to be an extravagant amount.  This followed by the fact that credit card is also used to import expensive mobile handsets which as such are not available in India but then you can buy it from the international market.  The use of such phones which are purchased from international market before they are allowed to make an entry in Indian markets is very doubtful.

Credit card users also face their own share of problems.  Like some other person can easily make use of your credit card if he knows the 16 digit card number and other details, that which can be very easily accessed.  There are many such cases that have taken place and then what happens to the person whose credit card gets misused is a completely different thing.  The person has to either pay the amount for which his credit card is used.  This is because if he does so, he is free to do other transactions and if he does not pay the amount for which his credit card got misused then he will have to wait till the time upon which the credit card company makes a confirmed verification that the credit card is definitely misused.  The credit card company takes time to make a verification and confirmation and of course it does that but the customer has to face the trouble till the issue gets resolved.

Thus a credit card is good to use, but it can be used only when the use of credit card is must and absolutely essential.
